Russell Brand recently wrote and article for the Guardian about the Riots in London. It says what I and hopefully many others are thinking.
I to share a similar opinion to that of Mr Brand, I belive that the destruction and devistation caused by members of our Nation is intolerable and in every way wrong but the damage to property is no longer the problem. Although punishment for those involved is neccessary it is now vital we look beyond the destruction caused, and ask, why have people done this? How have we not noticed the varying morality of people within our own country. Some see it as fine to burn people houses, shops and livelehoods to the ground, whilst others selflessly unite to clean up the mess. How can people who are supposidly brought up with the same national education and within the same country hold such different opinions on what is and isn't acceptable. This is the pressing issue and something I don't have the answers to; but it is something that needs to be considered.
